List of Indian cricketers to win Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year

Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy is the most prestigious individual award in cricket.
The Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy is awarded each year by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year. It is considered the most prestigious of the annual ICC Awards.
The trophy is named after former West Indies captain Sir Garfield Sobers to honor his contributions to the game.
India have had a rich history of producing superstar cricketers, but only a few have had the honor of winning the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy since its inception in 2004. In this article, we’ll take a look at the Indian cricketers who have won this esteemed award.
List of Indian cricketers to win Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year:

2. Sachin Tendulkar – 2010
Regarded as arguably the greatest batsmen of all time, Sachin Tendulkar became the second Indian to win this award in 2010. Tendulkar scored 1562 test runs, including seven centuries and five half-centuries, that year.

5. Virat Kohli – 2018
Kohli is only the second player, after Ricky Ponting (2006 and 2007), to win the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy in consecutive years. In 2018, Kohli was India’s leading run-scorer in a year that included challenging test tours of South Africa, England and Australia.
Kohli scored 1322 runs in 24 innings in test cricket that year, averaging 55 with the help of five centuries. His ODI numbers were equally impressive – 1202 runs at an average of 133, including six centuries.
