5. Shadab Jakati- CSK (IPL 2009)

Shadab Jakati is a former spinner from Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He made his debut in IPL 2009 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) but did not get a chance to bowl in his first game.

In his second match against Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), he clinched 4/24 in the second innings. Batting first, CSK piled up 163 runs. With Jakati’s heroics, CSK halted DC at 145/8 to win by 18 runs.

4. Paul Valthaty- KXIP (IPL 2011)

Paul Valthaty made his debut in IPL 2009 but bowled for the first time in the 2011 season, where he was part of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). In the first innings, Valthaty registered figures of 4/29 as Deccan Chargers managed 165/8. He also slammed a half-century in the second innings, propelling the team to victory by eight wickets.

3. Ashwani Kumar- MI (IPL 2025)

Pacer Ashwani Kumar made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2025 edition in a clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Batting first at Wankhede Stadium, KKR were bowled out for just 116 runs, with Ashwani taking 4/24 in his three overs. Rayan Rickelton (62) drove MI to an eight-wicket victory with his half-century.

2. Sakib Hussain- SRH (IPL 2026)

Sakib Hussain made his debut in IPL 2026 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The 21-year-old picked 4/24 in his four-over spell, playing a huge role in the team’s victory. He got the crucial wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Donovan Ferreira.

1. Praful Hinge- SRH (IPL 2026)

With Sakib, Praful Hinge also made his debut in the clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The right-arm pacer made a spectacular start to his IPL journey, clinching three wickets in his first over itself. He sent the opposition on the back foot in the chase at the start and captured a total of four wickets in the match. Hinge was also adjudged Player of the Match.
