India will face Australia in the first ODI in Perth on October 19.

The Indian Cricket Team’s squad for the ODI series against Australian Cricket Team is all set to leave on October 15 from New Delhi in two batches. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that one group will leave in the morning, while the second group will depart later in the evening.

Many Indian players, who are part of the ODI series against Australia, will be busy with the second test against the West Indies from October 10 to October 14. The encounter will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The reports also suggested that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer are expected to join the rest of the squad members in New Delhi ahead of the team’s departure.

The team is scheduled to fly to Perth, where the opening ODI game will take place on October 19. The next two games will be played on October 23 and 25. Notably, if the second test between India and the West Indies concludes early, players could be allowed to visit their homes before regrouping in Delhi.

The ODI series will mark the much-awaited return of Rohit and Kohli in the Indian team, who last played in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in March. According to reports, the duo will arrive in the national capital on the day of departure or one day prior.

“Virat and Rohit will touch down in the capital either on the day of departure or a day prior,” a source told PTI.

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill will commence his stint as ODI captain during India’s tour of Australia 2025. Ahead of the tour, he has been appointed as the new ODI captain, replacing Sharma. Iyer has been named as the new vice-captain in the 50-over format.

India are scheduled to clash with Australia in three ODIs and five T20Is during the campaign. After the conclusion of ODI series on October 25, the five T20I games will be played from October 29 to November 8.
