Major injury concern for CSK as MS Dhoni spotted with ice-pack on knee in a recent picture

MS Dhoni has smashed 10 sixes in the 47 balls he has faced in the IPL 2023.

Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni is one the biggest star attractions in the Indian Premier League. Dhoni has earned respect for his dedication to his franchise. Just a few weeks ago, CSK coach Stephen Fleming also informed about an injury MS Dhoni is carrying this season. Now pictures have emerged where MS Dhoni can be spotted with an ice pack on his left knee. In the IPL 2023, MS Dhoni is mostly dealing with boundaries. He was also seen limping while running on the ground or walking. 

Is Dhoni's injury serious?

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan posted a few pictures along with his former Indian teammate and skipper MS Dhoni. In those images, an Ice pack can be spotted on MS Dhoni’s left knee. Irfan Pathan was also sad to see MS limping to run. In between Chennai’s clash with Delhi, he tweeted, “Seeing Dhoni limping thru running between the wickets breaks my heart. Have seen him run like a cheetah”. Dhoni smashed 2 sixes and a four against Delhi Capitals in his 9 balls 20. 

Dhoni is dealing with boundaries

In the IPL 2023, so far MS Dhoni has smashed 10 sixes and faced only 8 overs in total. Due to the problem with his knee, MS Dhoni is using his power more than running between the wickets. Dhoni is also known for stealing singles and converting ones into twos. Fans were also sad to see him limping in a few games this season. MS Dhoni has scored 96 runs with a strike rate of 204 in 8 innings. He got out twice this season. 

Irfan Pathan is currently working with Star Network as a cricket expert. Pathan had gone to meet MS Dhoni after the game. Pathan tweeted those pictures with an emotional caption, “Jaha se chhorte hain, wahi se fir shuru hoti hai humari dosti (Where we leave our friendship, we begin again from the same). Never been a time where we met and didn’t remember our good old days. Some funny memories come back to life everytime we meet”.
