IPL 2023: Arshdeep Singh greeted with 'Broken Stump' memento in Chennai

Punjab Kings' pacer Arshdeep Singh broke two LED stumps against Mumbai Indians.

After a huge loss against Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings have now traveled to Chennai for their next game. Arshdeep Singh has become a star bowler not just for Punjab Kings but for Team India as well. In Punjab’s clash against Arshdeep bowled a magical last over to defend 16 runs in the last over. Arshdeep broke two LED stumps in that over. He picked up Tilak Verma and Nehal Wadhera’s wickets to help Punjab win the game by 13 runs. Punjab will now take on CSK and they have traveled to Chennai. Arshdeep is greeted at the team hotel with special mementos.

The ITC Grand Chola Hotel in Chennai greeted Arshdeep with a broken stump memento in the hotel room. Punjab Kings pace bowler Arshdeep Singh shared this on his Instagram page as well. Memento carried a few sweets along with a replica of a broken stump. Arshdeep Singh picked up 4 wickets against Mumbai Indians in that game and he is playing an important role for PBKS in the IPL 2023. Arshdeep Singh has picked up 14 wickets in 8 games. He is in the race for winning the purple cap this season.

Lucknow Super Giants were a tough opponent for Punjab Kings on Friday evening. Punjab bowlers conceded 257 runs in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh also went for runs against Lucknow batters. Arshdeep conceded 54 runs in his 4-over spell, he picked up only one wicket. Arshdeep alone conceded 10 boundaries in his 4 overs. Punjab Kings with 8 points in 8 games are placed number 6 in the points table. Chennai Super Kings are Number 4 in the table with 10 points in 8 games.
