IPL 2023 Updated Points Table:

As we are progressing deeper into the tournament, the qualification race is getting intense as the teams in the middle of the table are stuck in a traffic jam with 10 points. Although the game between SRH and KKR hasn't made any impact in the top half of the table, it's a crucial win for KKR to make sure that they remain in the hunt. SRH on the other hand, will find it a bit more difficult to stage themselves in the top four now.

SRH have played 9 matches out of which they have won three games and losr six. With six points, they are in the 9th position while KKR are in the 8th spot with 8 points. Gujarat, Lucknow, Chennai, and Rajasthan are currently the top 4 teams in the points table.

IPL 2023 Updated Orange cap holder:

Orange Cap

The race for the Orange Cap hasn't seen any new entrants in the top 5 after the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Leading the way with runs, Faf du Plessis holds his top position with 466 runs in 9 matches at an average of 58.25. At the second spot, Yahasvi Jaiswal is looking good to near Faf's runs with 428 runs in 9 matches.

CSK's openers, Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad stand tall at the 3rd and 5th positions respectively while Virat Kohli remains at no. 4 with 364 runs. Rinku Sharma's 46 runs tonight against SRH helped him make his way into the top 10 with a total of 316 runs to his name in 10 innings thus far. Venkatesh Iyer too is in the top 10 now.

IPL 2023 Updated Purple cap holder:

Purple Cap

The Purple Cap leaderboard too remains unmoved at the top after the game between SRH and KKR. Mohammed Shami's brilliant spell against Delhi has helped him stay at the top. Tied with Tushar Deshpande at 17 wickets, Shami has a better economy rate and average, making him earn the purple cap at the moment. Punjab Kings' Arshdeep Singh is 3rd on the list with 16 wickets. Piyush Chawla, Mohammed Siraj, and Rashid Khan are all tied at 15 wickets each.

What’s in IPL on Friday?

The two heavyweights of IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans go up against each other for the second time this season at the Swai Mansigh Stadium, Jaipur. Both teams have lost their respective last games. While RR lost to Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets, GT lost to Delhi Capitals in a low-scoring game by 5 runs. The last time these two teams clashed, GT was the winner by 3 wickets.
