RCB vs LSG: RCB look to emerge from the shackles of the last defeat suffered against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Royal Challengers Bangalore were completely decimated by Kolkata Knight Riders in their last game at Eden Gardens. The beating will take a hit on the team's confidence as KKR outshined RCB in every department that other night. Returning back home to face the brigade of Lucknow Super Giants on 10th April, the task won't be an easy one as the Giants have seemed to tick every box so far. RCB on the other hand has a few glaring issues, one of which is their never-ending crisis of death bowling.

The Challengers had an equally dominant season opener against Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Courtesy of a combined bowling effort, RCB were able to restrict the heavy batting unit of MI under a below-par total. Virat and Faf took the charge and ensured a comfortable win for RCB in the end. In their second game, RCB started off well with the bowlers pushing the batters against the wall until Shardul Thakur arrived. Later on, the batting unit too succumbed to the craft of KKR spinners.

On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants are looking like a complete package. In the three games they have played, they have managed to secure two wins, the latest one against SRH. Looking at the all-around performance of Krunal Pandya, the team will feel even more confident. Krunal's skills with the bat and the ball provide the perfect balance to the team. Everything seems to be in music for LSG, the openers doing their job, the middle order chipping in with runs as and when required, and the bowlers working in shifts. It will take a huge effort from RCB to stun LSG in the upcoming match.

RCB vs LSG Pitch Report

For years, Chinnaswamy is well known for the batting support it provides. It will once again run in the same fashion with the batters having a good time in the middle and for the bowlers, as usual, there will be no respite. The margin of error for the bowlers will be very less.

RCB vs LSG Team News

RCB have struggled to contain runs in the death overs as seen in both of their games. To strengthen that aspect, they might bank on the experience of Siddharth Kaul over Akash Deep which seems to be the only probable change as far as RCB is concerned.

For the Giants, they will be hoping for Mark Wood's comeback who has been their standout bowler. The seamer missed out on the last match as a precaution to a potential injury. If he comes back then Romario Shepherd will have to make way for him. If not, Quinton de Kock might come in his place. Also, if Avesh Khan recovers from the niggle he had, he is likely to make a comeback to the playing XI.

RCB vs LSG: Players to watch out for

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli wasted no time in preserving his form this season. Right from the word go, Kohli looked like his former self. In front of his crowd, he will be raring to go once again and with the conditions in favour of batting, Kohli might just be the player you would want to have your eyes glued to.

Lucknow Super Giants: Kyle Mayers

A quality southpaw with power up his sleeves, Kyle Mayers has made the most of the opportunities presented to him so far. In the absence of Quinton de Kock, Mayers was entrusted with the opening role and he was up for the task from the very first match. On slightly sluggish wickets, the power hitter managed to rake some good runs at a chirpy strike rate. It will be interesting to see him go about his business at the Chinnaswamy stadium where the batters have ruled.
