Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and Naveen ul Haq were penalised by the IPL Governing council.

It was the 1st of May when Royal Challengers Bangalore played Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Apart from a good low-scoring game, this game became a big talking point due to a bad reason as well. Even after a week this game and one incident have got everyone talking about the game. Two of India’s biggest superstars, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir fought, showing a poor example of sportsman spirit. RCB’s Virat Kohli and Lucknow’s mentor Gautam Gambhir had an altercation after the match was over. Both these cricketers were fined for their behaviour, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were fined 100% of their match fees.

Kohli, Gambhir, & Dahiya had 45-minute long chat after first match in Bengaluru

RCB batter Virat Kohli and Lucknow’s mentor Gautam Gambhir had an ugly verbal spat after the Lucknow game. It all started with Virat Kohli saying a few words to Naveen ul Haq when he came into bat, and ended with Virat and Gautam Gambhir arguing with each other. On Monday a media report from Dainik Jagran claimed that Lucknow’s management was shocked to see Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir fighting with each other. They claimed that Virat Kohli, along with his Delhi teammates Vijay Dahiya and Gautam Gambhir had a 45-minute long chat conversation together in their first leg game at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

That report also claimed that Gautam Gambhir was furious with Virat Kohli when Kohli abused Lucknow’s opener Kyle Mayers. Kohli gave Kyle Mayers a send-off after he was out. Later when the game got over, Mayers was seen talking to Virat and soon after Gambhir came in and he pulled Mayers towards himself. That became another flashpoint between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. The BCCI & IPL governing council were not happy with behaviour of both grown men, and they were penalised by the board.
