Ravindra Jadeja took 20 wickets and scored 190 runs in 16 matches during IPL 2023.

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja recalled the moment when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni lifted Jadeja after his stunning performance, which guided CSK to their fifth title by defeating the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final.

In the 15th over of the chase in a rain-curtailed match, CSK found themselves on the edge, needing 10 runs off the last two balls. However, Jadeja swung the game in his team’s favour, smashing GT pacer Mohit Sharma for a six off the second-last ball and a four off the final delivery to guide his team to victory at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium on May 28, 2023.

The defending champions, CSK, shared a heartwarming video on their social media platforms, showcasing left-handed batter Jadeja holding a portrait of Dhoni lifting him on the emotional night of the 2023 final. “This is one of my all-time favourite memories. I will never forget this hug from Thala. This will remain inside my heart forever. We love you Thala, cheers,” Jadeja said.

The moment from The Man himself,” wrote CSK on their ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) handle.
