Digvesh Rathi was banned for one match in IPL 2025 due to his controversial notebook celebration.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their last match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The 70th match of IPL 2025 will take place at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, May 27.
Rishabh Pant-led LSG have shown a dismal form in the tournament and are eliminated from the playoffs. However, their spinner Digvesh Rathi has garnered a lot of attention due to his infamous notebook celebration.
Notably, the right-arm spinner was fined 25% of his match fees for his notebook celebration for the first time in IPL 2025. When he repeated his infamous send-off, he was fined 50% of his match fees. On the third occasion, he was banned for one match. Rathi was not part of LSG’s previous game against the Gujarat Titans (GT).

After completing his one-match ban, Rathi will be back in the LSG vs RCB clash. During an interaction with fans, he was asked whom he would target next with his notebook celebration. As some fans chanted Virat Kohli’s name, Rathi nodded his head and said no. The video of the moment went viral on social media. Have a look at the video below.

Rathi and Kohli will face each other in the last league match of IPL 2025. Meanwhile, Rathi has shown a spectacular form in IPL 2025. He has taken 14 wickets in 12 games at an economy of 8.18. He is also the leading wicket-taker for his team.
LSG grabbed the seventh spot in the points table with 12 points. Out of 13 games, they have won six matches and lost seven encounters. LSG can finish in sixth spot by defeating RCB in their last match.
