The KKR vs PBKS, match 44 of IPL 2025, has been affected by rain.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are locking horns in the 44th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match is taking place at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. The match has been affected by rain in the second innings during KKR’s chase.

Notably, the chase will start overs after 10:35 PM. If the match starts before that, it will be played for 20 overs. The last cut-off time for a 5-over chase is 11:44 PM. If the match starts at this time, it will only witness five overs. Otherwise, the match will end without a result.

As per the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method, KKR will have a target of 61 in five overs. Since they piled up 7/0 in the first over, they will have to smack 54 more runs in four overs for victory in such a scenario. KKR have a target of 202 runs in the encounter.

How many points will KKR and PBKS receive if rain washes out match

If the rain washes out the KKR vs PBKS clash, both teams will receive one point each. Since every team earns two points for each victory, the two points will be divided between both sides if the match ends without a result. KKR currently have six points in their kitty while PBKS have 10 points.

Hence, if the match ends with no result, KKR will have seven points but will remain at the seventh spot. On the other hand, PBKS will move to the fourth spot with 11 points. They will leapfrog Mumbai Indians (MI) in the points table, who currently are positioned fourth.

Meanwhile, KKR openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine are at the crease and will resume their batting when the match restarts. Earlier, the visitors posted a gigantic total of 201/4 in the first innings. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh hammered amazing half-centuries to power the team to a mammoth total.
