Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are scheduled to face off Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match No. 34 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Friday, April 18. However, the RCB vs PBKS clash was affected by rain at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
As a result, the toss has been delayed. Notably, the city witnessed rain at night for two-three hours over the last few days. According to the latest weather reports, the rain might stop after an hour or two.

Since the game has been affected by rain, the match will be reduced by some overs in each innings. The cut-off time for the RCB vs PBKS game is 10:56 PM IST for five overs of play, which is the minimum amount of overs required to determine a winner in T20 cricket. The match will witness five overs per side if it starts at 10:56 PM.
However, if the match does not start before 10:56 PM, it will end in a no result. The cut-off time for the toss is 10:41 PM. If the match ends without a result, both the sides will share one point each.
Meanwhile, RCB led by Rajat Patidar and PBKS led by Shreyas Iyer have shown a wonderful form in this season so far, winning four matches each.
RCB have played six games in the tournament, winning four games and losing two. They have eight points. On the other hand, PBKS have also won four games and lost two out of six matches so far. They have eight points in their kitty. It is a crucial encounter for both sides as the winner of the game has a chance to reach the top spot in the points table.
If the match ends without a result due to rain, RCB will move to the second spot, and PBKS will reach the third spot with nine points each. Both teams won their respective last matches of IPL 2025. RCB grabbed a victory in their previous game by nine wickets against Rajasthan Royals (RR), while PBKS clinched a win in their last game by 16 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
