Ashutosh Sharma was one of many surprise packages of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Taking the tournament by storm, Ashutosh scored 189 runs in the season with a blistering strike rate of 170.

The middle-order duo of Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma was one of the few bright spots in an underwhelming season for Punjab Kings (PBKS). Ashutosh’s 360-degree hitting ability makes him a valuable asset in the shortest format of the game.

Delhi Capitals buys Ashutosh Sharma for INR 3.8 crores

Delhi Capitals (DC) signed IPL 2024 sensation Ashutosh Sharma for INR 3.8 crores at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Winning the intense bidding war against Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals, DC have added the explosive right-hander to their roaster for the upcoming season.

Ashutosh, known for his power-hitting ability, will thrive on the small ground of Arun Jaitley Stadium. He will partner Tristan Stubbs in the heart of DC’s batting order.

Ashutosh Sharma made his IPL debut in 2024 for Punjab Kings (PBKS). Ashutosh’s top score of 61 came against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Mullanpur, earning him the tag of one of the most exciting batters to watch during the death overs.

He was picked by PBKS in the 2024 IPL auction for a price of INR 20 lakhs.
