The IPL 2025 mega auction is likely to be held in Riyadh.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction will be held outside India, most likely in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to officially announce the location and dates. It has been learned that the IPL franchises have urged the board to confirm it soon so they can arrange their travel and logistics.

The IPL 2025 mega auction, like the previous mega auctions, will be held over two days.

There is a complication that has been raised for the BCCI in scheduling the IPL 2025 mega auction because they are trying to avoid a clash between the two-day mega auction and the India vs Australia test series, which will kick off in Perth on November 22.

The broadcasters, Star Sports Network, who will telecast and stream the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in India are hoping to avoid an overlap between the IPL 2025 mega auction and the test series.

What is the date of the IPL 2025 mega auction?

According to a report in ANI, the IPL 2025 mega auction is tentatively scheduled for November 24 and 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, though the BCCI has not made an official confirmation yet.

Meanwhile, all teams submitted their list of retained players on October 31.
