Kagiso Rabada previously in the IPL
Kagiso Rabada began his IPL journey with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2017. Rabada impressed the Delhi management in his first season before suffering a setback in 2018 with a back injury, that ruled him out of the tournament.

Rabada took his bowling to different level in 2020 earning the Purple Cap (highest wicket taker in the tournament) with 30 wickets in 17 games.
The South African fast bowler was bought by Punjab Kings for a hefty INR 9.25 crores at the 2022 IPL mega auction. Playing for the franchise, Rabada achieved the milestone of 100 IPL wickets in just 64 matches, setting a record as the fastest bowler to reach this landmark in terms of matches played.
