IPL 2025 mega auction: List of all players bought by MI on day 1
MI entered the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of INR 45 crores.
The two-day Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction kicked off on November 24 in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. The historic event saw all 10 franchises engaging in a bidding war to fill a total of 204 available slots.
Five-time IPL winners, Mumbai Indians (MI), entered the auction with a purse of INR 45 crores. Having retained players like – Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav and Tilak Varma, MI enjoy one of the strongest Indian core in the tournament.
MI had a quiet auction today. The five-time winners only added four players to their squad. MI’s key buy today was Trent Boult, who will partner Jasprit Bumrah in the MI setup. Having played with the franchise before, the Boult – Bumrah partnership is expected to do wonders for the franchise.
