How much will Umran Malik earn from Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025?

Umran Malik has taken 29 wickets in his IPL career so far.
Indian pacer Umran Malik has quickly made a name for himself as one of the fastest bowlers in world cricket. Malik made his international debut in 2022 against New Zealand in Auckland. He has taken 24 wickets in 18 international games so far.
Umran’s Indian Premier League (IPL) journey began with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2021. Malik is known for consistently hitting short of good length. Recently, Umran has worked on his bowling discipline which makes him a key player in the shortest format of the game.
Kolkata Knight Riders buy Umran Malik for INR 75 lakhs
Speedster Umran Malik was acquired by IPL 2024 winners Kolkata Knight Riders for his base price of INR 75 lakhs at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Umran went unsold in the first round during the second day of the two-day mega auction, but was later picked by the Kolkata-based franchise at his base price during the accelerated auction process.
Umran will add depth to the KKR fast bowling reserves. The pace and bounce of the Eden Gardens pitch will suit his back-of-the-length deliveries.
Umran Malik previously in the IPL
Umran made his IPL debut with SRH against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2021. He made headlines during that season when he bowled five consecutive balls at a pace of over 150kmph against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Acknowledging his immense potential, SRH retained him for the 2022 season. Malik took his first IPL five-wicket hall against Gujarat Titans in 2022, returning with an excellent bowling figure of 5/25 in his four overs.
Malik has taken 29 wickets in 26 matches with an economy rate of 9.4 so far in the IPL. Malik started his career with a salary of INR 20 lakhs, which was later increased to INR 4 crores in 2022 after retention.
