In 58 ODIs, the leg-spinner has picked up 93 wickets at an average of 25 with four four-fors and four five-fors. In T20Is, he’s bagged 125 wickets in 76 matches at an average of 15 with four four-wicket hauls to his name. In ODIs, his best bowling figures are 7/19 and in T20Is, his best figures are 4/9.

Hasaranga has been part of three seasons in the Indian Premier League (IPL), all for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

In IPL 2021, he was roped in by RCB as a replacement player and played two games. RCB then splurged INR 10.75 crore on the Sri Lankan in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He had a great IPL 2022 season as he picked up 26 wickets in 16 games.

However, his form fell off as he managed only nine wickets in eight matches in IPL 2023 before being released by RCB.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) then bought him for INR 1.5 crore in the IPL 2024 auction but he missed the seasons due to an injury.
