MI defeated SRH by seven wickets in the 41st match of IPL 2025.

Mumbai Indians (MI) clashed with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 41st match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday, April 23. The match took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. MI had a low target of 144 runs in the match. With brilliant knocks by Rohit Sharma (70) and Suryakumar Yadav (40*), the visitors defeated SRH by seven wickets in the match.

Earlier, MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. MI showed a fabulous bowling attack. Left-arm pacer Trent Boult picked a brilliant four-wicket haul to crush SRH batters. Notably, the Pat Cummins-led side lost their first four batters for single digits. Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Nitish Reddy failed to give a good start batting. Towards the end, Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen added 43 and 71 respectively to power SRH to 143/8 in 20 overs.

After the SRH vs MI, match No. 41 of IPL 2025, MI have jumped to the third spot in the updated points table of IPL 2025. They have 10 points and Net Run Rate (NRR) of +0.673. On the other hand, SRH are still positioned ninth in the table. They have four points and NRR of -1.361.

Gujarat Titans (GT) take the top spot with 12 points, followed by DC in the second spot with an equal number of points. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) take the fourth and fifth positions with 10 points each. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) occupy the last 10th place in the updated team standings.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

GT batsman Sai Sudharsan continues to take the top spot in the Orange Cap leaderboard with 417 runs. LSG batter Nicholas Pooran follows him in the second spot. There are no SRH batters among the top five run-scorers in IPL 2025. Suryakumar Yadav, who slammed a crucial knock of 40 runs in the SRH vs MI game, has now jumped to the third spot with 373 runs. Jos Buttler and Mitchell Marsh round of the list.

There are no MI or SRH bowlers in the list of top five highest wicket-takers this season. Prasidh Krishna has the purple cap with 16 wickets to his name. Kuldeep Yadav follows him in the second spot with 12 wickets. The next three bowlers in the list are Noor Ahmad, R Sai Kishore, and Josh Hazlewood. All of them have 12 scalps each. MI skipper Hardik Pandya, who picked one wicket in SRH vs MI game, also has 12 wickets, but has a poorer economy as compared to others in the list.
