GT defeated SRH by 38 runs in match No. 51 of IPL 2025.

Gujarat Titans (GT) hosted Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match No. 51 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The encounter took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. SRH had a challenging target of 225 runs in the clash. GT crushed SRH by 38 runs in the encounter with Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj taking two wickets each.

Abhishek Sharma’s amazing half-century (74) went in vain as the visitors could only reach 186/6 till the last over. Earlier, SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first. GT openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill slammed an opening stand of 87 runs for the first wicket. Gill (76) slammed a stunning half-century.

Later, Jos Buttler also slammed a quickfire half-century to power the scoreboard to 224/6. For SRH, Jaydev Unadkat scalped the most three wickets for the side. However, SRH bowlers completely struggled to halt the home side from reaching a big total on the board.

After the 51st match of IPL 2025, GT have jumped to second spot in the updated points table. They have 14 points and Net Run Rate (NRR) of +0.867. On the other hand, SRH have dropped down to ninth position after a defeat in the match. They have six points and NRR of -1.192.

Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have 14 points each and grab the first and third spots in the points table respectively. Punjab Kings (PBKS) capture the fourth spot with 13 points. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) languish at the bottom of the points table with four points in kitty.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

The list of top five highest run-scorers of the season is dominated by the GT batters as there are three GT batters in the list. Sai Sudharsan has moved back to top of the Orange Cap leaderboard with 504 runs. His teammates Jos Buttler (470 runs) and Shubman Gill (465 runs) occupy third and fourth spots.

Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav and Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Virat Kohli occupy second and fifth spots with 475 and 443 runs respectively.

IPL 2025: Most wickets (Purple Cap)

GT pacer Prasidh Krishna steals the top spot in the Purple Cap leaderboard after GT vs SRH clash. He has replaced Josh Hazlewood from the top position. Krishna has 19 wickets while the second-placed Hazlewood has 18 scalps. No SRH bowlers are among the top five highest wicket-takers in IPL 2025.

MI pacer Trent Boult and CSK spinner Noor Ahmad grab the third and fourth spots respectively. Khaleel Ahmad, who is also part of CSK, takes the fifth position with 14 scalps. Notably, GT pacer Mohammed Siraj clinched two wickets in the encounter and has an equal 14 wickets, but is placed sixth in the list with a poorer economy rate.
