IPL 2025: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 55, SRH vs DC

Match 55 of IPL 2025, SRH vs DC, was washed out due to rain.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) clashed in the 55th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Monday (May 5) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Cummins led from the front, dismissing the first three DC batters within the powerplay overs. Karun Nair (0), Faf du Plessis (3), and Abishek Porel (8) were all dismissed by Cummins, with Ishan Kishan taking the catches.
The score soon deteriorated to 62/6 as KL Rahul (10), Axar Patel (6), and Vipraj Nigam (18) also fell. However, Tristan Stubbs (41*) and Ashutosh Sharma (41, including 2 fours and 3 sixes) stitched together a 66-run partnership in 45 balls for the seventh wicket, taking DC to a total of 133/7 in 20 overs.
In addition to Cummins’ impressive figures of 3/18, Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, and Eshan Malinga each claimed one wicket.
Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t get a chance to go for the chase as heavy rain poured down for more than an hour. And when the rain stopped and covers were peeled off, the match officials inspected the outfield and observed that there was not enough time to dry it for the 5-over game to begin by 11.45 pm cut off.
The match officials informed the captains of the both the sides, Axar Patel of DC and Pat Cummins of SRH, that the game was called off and they will share a point each. This also meant that SRH were officially eliminated from the race for the playoffs in IPL 2025.
IPL 2025: Updated points table

The updated IPL 2025 points table sees DC and SRH sharing a point each after the 55th IPL match was rained out. With this, DC now have 13 points from 11 matches with six wins and remain in the race for the playoffs.
However, SRH now have seven points from 11 games and three wins, and have become the third team after Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals to be eliminated from the race for the IPL 2025 playoffs.
RCB remain at the top with 16 points from eight wins, while PBKS followed suit at the second spot with 15 points from seven wins in 11 matches. MI are placed third with 14 points from seven wins in 11 matches, and GT complete the top four with seven wins from 10 matches and 14 points.
IPL 2025: Most Runs (Orange Cap)
There was no change in the list of top five run-getters this season in the Orange Cap leaderboard after the DC v SRH IPL 2025 match on May 5, 2025.
Virat Kohli (505) and Sai Sudharsan (504) continue to occupy the top two spots on the list. Suryakumar Yadav (475) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (473) follow in third and fourth place, respectively. Jos Buttler secures the fifth position with 470 runs.

IPL 2025: Most wickets (Purple Cap)
There was no change in the list of the top five most wicket-takers in the IPL 2025 season following the SRH v DC clash on May 5, 2025.
GT’s Prasidh Krishna remains No. 1 with 19 scalps, while Josh Hazlewood has 18 wickets, despite missing RCB’s last match. Noor Ahmad of CSK continues to be in the top five with 16 wickets, while Arshdeep Singh of PBKS and Trent Boult of MI also have 16 wickets and complete the top 5.
