GT defeated DC by 10 wickets in the 60th match of IPL 2025.

Delhi Capitals (DC) hosted Gujarat Titans (GT) in match No. 60 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Sunday, May 18. The encounter took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. GT had a target of 200 runs in the match.

Sai Sudharsan slammed a century while Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 93 to steal an incredible victory by 10 wickets. DC bowlers were helpless as both GT openers etched an opening stand of unbeaten 205 runs. GT also confirmed their place in the playoffs after the victory. Earlier, Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first.

DC opener KL Rahul slammed a stunning unbeaten century after his partner Faf du Plessis got out cheaply for five runs. Rahul powered the scoreboard to 199/3 in the first innings. Abishek Porel and Axar Patel added 30 runs and 25 runs respectively. However, it was not enough to halt GT from winning the clash.

After the 60th match of IPL 2025, GT have jumped to the peak position in the updated points table. They have 18 points and Net Run Rate (NNR) of +0.795. On the other hand, DC stay in the fifth spot in the points table. They have 13 points and NRR of +0.260. With the win, GT became first team to qualify for this season’s playoffs.

Along with them, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) have also qualified for the playoffs, who capture the second and third positions respectively with 17 points each.

Mumbai Indians grab the fourth spot with 14 points. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continue to languish at the bottom of the points table with six points each.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

After the DC vs GT clash, the top five highest run-scorers in IPL 2025 are the same. However, their positions have been shuffled. Sai Sudharsan, who scored unbeaten 108 in the match, has jumped to the top spot in Orange Cap leaderboard with 617 runs.

Shubman Gill, who slammed an unbeaten 93 in the game, now takes the second spot with 601 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal (523) has dropped to the third spot, followed by Suryakumar Yadav (510) in the fourth spot. RCB opener Virat Kohli captures the fifth spot with 505 runs.

There are no changes in the list of top five highest wicket-takers in IPL 2025 after the DC vs GT match. However, GT pacer Prasidh Krishna has increased his tally to 21 wickets after picking one wicket in the clash.

Noor Ahmed follows him in the second spot with 20 wickets. Josh Hazlewood and Trent Boult occupy the third and fourth spots respectively with 18 wickets each. Varun Chakravarthy holds the fifth position with 17 scalps.
