DC crushed RCB by six wickets in the 24th match of IPL 2025.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lost to Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in the match No. 24 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Chasing 164 runs for victory, KL Rahul scored a stunning half-century to drive DC to their fourth consecutive victory of the season. Tristan Stubbs also supported him well with his unbeaten 38 runs.

DC lost both openers Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk for single digits. Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked the most two wickets for RCB in the match.

Earlier, RCB managed to put up a total of 163/7 in the first innings after being asked to bat first. Opener Phil Salt slammed quickfire 37 runs at the start. Virat Kohli (22), Rajat Patidar (25), and Tim David (37*) also made notable contributions with the bat.

For DC, spinners Vipraj Nigal and Kuldeep Yadav grabbed two wickets each. Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma picked one wicket each.

After their victory against RCB, DC now have eight points to their name and occupy the second spot in the updated IPL 2025 points table. They have eight points and Net Run Rate (NRR) of +1.278. They have won all four of their games so far in the tournament.

On the other hand, RCB have moved to the third spot in the updated team standings. Out of five games, they have won three and lost two. They have six points and NRR of +0.539.

Gujarat Titans (GT) continue to top the points table with eight points. Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) grab the fourth and fifth place respectively with six points each.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

Notably, there are no RCB or DC batters in the list of top five highest run-scorers in IPL 2025. However, Kohli has moved close to the fifth-ranked Suryakumar Yadav and now takes the seventh position with 186 runs.

Rajat Patidar follows Yadav in the sixth spot with an equal 186 runs. Nicholas Pooran continues to top the list of Orange Cap leaderboard with 288 runs.

IPL 2025: Most wickets (Purple Cap)

Just like the Orange Cap leaderboard, the Purple Cap leaderboard also didn’t see any changes after match No. 24 between RCB and DC. Chennai Super Kings spinner Noor Ahmad still leads the Purple Cap leaderboard with 11 wickets to his name.

Gujarat Titans bowlers Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, CSK fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed and Mumbai Indians’ Hardik Pandya are next on the list with 10 wickets each.
