IPL 2025: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 25, CSK vs KKR

KKR crushed CSK by eight wickets in the 25th match of IPL 2025.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) thrashed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by eight wickets in the match No. 25 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Chasing just 104 for victory at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Sunil Narine (44) and Ajinkya Rahane (20*) helped the visitors chase down the target with 59 balls to spare.

Earlier, KKR skipper Rahane won the toss and opted to bowl first. CSK were restricted to 103/9 in the first innings courtesy a brilliant bowling display from KKR. CSK lost openers Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway cheaply for four and 12 runs respectively.

Later, the home side faced one of their worst batting collapses. Shivam Dube top scored for CSK, adding 31 runs, and the hosts CSK ended with 103/9 on the scoreboard to register their third-lowest total in the IPL history. For KKR, spinner Sunil Narine picked the most, three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana grabbed two wickets each.

IPL 2025: Updated points table

After defeat against KKR in the 25th match of IPL 2025, CSK are still placed ninth in IPL 2025 points table, but now with a worse Net Run Rate (NRR). They have two points and NRR of -1.554. On the other hand, KKR have moved to the third spot in the points table.

The Ajinkya Rahane-led side has six points and NRR of +0.803. Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) continue to take the top two spots with eight points each. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) grab the fourth spot with six points.

IPL 2025: Most runs (Orange Cap)

Ajinkya Rahane, who slammed 20 runs in the match, has entered the list of top five highest run-scorers this season. The KKR skipper has grabbed the fifth spot in the Orange Cap leaderboard. Notably, there are no CSK batters in the list of the top five run-getters in IPL 2025. Nicholas Pooran continues to take the top spot with 288 runs. Sai Sudharsan and Mitchell Marsh take the second and third positions respectively.

Noor Ahmad picked one wicket in the match and has retained his top spot in the Purple Cap leaderboard. Khaleel Ahmed is another CSK bowler in the list with 10 wickets. Notably, there are no KKR bowlers among the top five highest wicket-takers in IPL 2025. Two GT bowlers – Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj – are part of the list.
