KKR defeated RR by eight wickets in the sixth match of IPL 2025.

On Wednesday, March 26, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by eight wickets in the sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, RR’s innings never found any rhythm and were always playing catch-up. After a few early boundaries by Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal, they lost wickets in a flurry and were reduced to 82/5 after 11 overs.

Dhruv Jurel top-scored for the hosts with 33 off 28 balls, while spin twins Moeen Ali and Varun Chakaravarthy applied pressure for KKR in the middle overs, combining for four wickets and conceding just 40 runs in eight overs.

In reply, KKR got off to a steady start, getting through the powerplay without losing any wickets and putting 40 runs on the board.

Quinton de Kock anchored the run chase with a brilliant 97 off 61 balls. He found support from Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who remained unbeaten on 22. Having lost their first two matches of the season, RR will have to win their next few games to turn around their campaign.
