After being asked to bat first, RCB didn’t have a great start to their innings as Phil Salt, who looked good, was back after scoring just 16 runs. Virat Kohli (43) held the one end up but played slow. Mayank Agarwal (24) and skipper Rajat Patidar (26) had starts but they failed to carry on as RCB were left reeling at 131 for four.

Chasing the target, PBKS had a decent start to their innings, with Priyansh Arya (24) and Prabhsimran Singh (26) adding 43 runs for the opening partnership. But after that, RCB made a strong back as they removed both the openers also skipper Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer.
Josh Inglis (39) tried to keep the momentum in his team’s favour with his brilliant innings but perished at a crucial stage as PBKS was reduced to 98 for four. Shashank Singh (61) kept his team in the hunt but didn’t get the support that he wanted.
RCB kept taking wickets at regular intervals and restricted PBKS to 184 for seven to win the game by six runs and lift their maiden title in the league.
