While the excitement for the RCB vs PBKS final is increasing, there is some bad news for fans as rain is predicted for the clash.
The final of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is just a night away from now. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be facing Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the summit clash at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (3rd June).
RCB and PBKS have been magnificent throughout the tournament, and it’s fair to say that two of the best teams are in the final. The two teams ended the league stage in the top two positions with 19 points each and also crossed swords with each other in Qualifier 1 as well.
But, it was RCB who had an upper hand over the PBKS in the clash as they won the game by a margin of eight wickets. However, the Shreyas Iyer-led side staged a brilliant comeback in the Qualifier 2 as they beat Mumbai Indians (MI) by five wickets to seal a place in the summit clash.
With both teams being in red-hot form and neither of them winning the IPL as of yet, RCB vs PBKS promises to be an enthralling contest. Amid all this, one thing is certain that we will be having a new winner, and it remains to be seen who among them will end their title drought.
RCB vs PBKS final to have a reserve day on 4th June
While the excitement for the RCB vs PBKS final is increasing, there is some bad news for fans. The final of the IPL 2025 is likely to be marred by the rain, with forecasts predicting a brief spell of drizzle in the evening. Notably, even Qualifier 2 started two hours and 15 minutes late due to the rain at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
However, unlike the Eliminator and Qualifier 2, there is a reserve day for the final of the IPL 2025. If the RCB vs PBKS final clash is washed out due to rain on 3rd June, even after using the extra two hours, then the reserve day will come into play. The game will then continue on Wednesday (4th June).
However, in case, reserve day also gets washed out, then PBKS will be crowned as the winners of IPL 2025. This is because the team that finished higher in the league stage gets the benefit as per the rules.
