Indian opener Shubman Gill has been retained by GT for IPL 2025.

The Gujarat Titans (GT) had a challenging campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The team finished the season eighth on the points table. Last season marked a new chapter for the Titans as it was their first season under the leadership of Shubman Gill, moving on from the Hardik Pandya era. However, despite high expectations, the team struggled to find their rhythm and fell short of a playoff berth.

Batting proved to be a major cause of concern for the Titans with captain Shubman Gill not as his best in the top order. The middle and lower order of the Gujarat batting lineup also struggled with finisher Rahul Tewatia, not among runs.

For the 2025 season the franchise has retained five players including the likes of Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan.
