IPL 2025: List of all players retained and released by PBKS

PBKS have retained the uncapped duo of Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) had a horrible Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 campaign with the team finishing second last in the table.

In the batting department, the uncapped Indian duo of Prabhsimran Singh and Shashank Singh were among the few bright lights for the franchise.

Prabhsimran had an excellent campaign with 334 runs with a strike rate of 138. On the other hand, Shashank’s middle-order pairing with Ashutosh Sharma made headlines during last year’s IPL. Both Prabhsimran and Shashank were instrumental in the PBKS record run chase of 262 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.

With Ricky Ponting joining the franchise as head coach, the franchise has opted building the team from the ground up, releasing almost all of their experienced players.

The franchise has retained only two players namely Prabhsimran Singh and Shashank Singh.
