Prasidh Krishna owns the Purple Cap after 57 games in IPL 2025.

The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to security reasons. The BCCI took the decision on Friday morning (May 9) amid the ongoing military tensions between India and Paksitan in the north and northwestern regions.

Before its suspension, IPL 2025 observed 57 nail-biting games between the 10 teams, excluding the Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) match. The encounter, which was 58th match of the season, was abandoned in Dharamsala on Thursday night due to technical snags and security issues.

Many bowlers have grabbed a lot of limelight in IPL 2025 with their outstanding performances. Two bowlers- Mitchell Starc (5/35) and Hardik Pandya (5/36) – have clinched five-wicket hauls. Moreover, a total of 13 bowlers have captured four-wicket hauls in the season so far. Rajasthan Royals (RR) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal claimed a hat-trick in a clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
