IPL 2026 Auction: All Bangladesh players shortlisted

Mustafizur Rahman is the only Bangladesh player to be listed at the base price of INR 2 crore at the IPL 2026 auction.
A total of 1390 players signed up for the IPL 2026 auction. However, only 350 were eventually shortlisted. Out of the remaining number, 110 are overseas players. A maximum of 77 slots can be filled in the auction, of which 31 are for overseas slots.
Seven players from Bangladesh will go under the hammer on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. From big names to young talents, the auction for the upcoming IPL season is packed with stars, as several teams are expected to bid for the players.
Thus, here’s the complete list of all Bangladesh players shortlisted for the IPL 2026 auction.
Rakibul Hasan: INR 30 lakh
Rakibul Hasan is set to be a part of the 2026 IPL auction at a base price of INR 30 lakh. The bowling all-rounder has limited experience playing for the national team.
However, he has consistently delivered solid performances in first-class cricket. In 22 matches, the 23-year-old has scored 2012 runs while also bagging 76 wickets.
Meanwhile, his experience in T20 matches has also been impressive. The left-arm orthodox bowler has picked up 69 wickets in 69 T20 matches. Thus, Rakibul Hasan has the potential to be a trump card for any team if he gets sold in the auction.
Taskin Ahmed: INR 75 lakh

Despite suffering multiple injuries at different junctures in his career, Taskin Ahmed has never looked down. The 30-year-old was also named Bangladesh’s vice-captain for the T20 World Cup in 2024.
Ahmed has taken 106 wickets in 86 T20 matches for the national team. However, despite being one of the top stars in the Bangladesh team, he’s yet to play in the IPL.
Shoriful Islam: INR 75 lakh
One of the tallest players in the Bangladesh line-up, Shoriful Islam, has solidified his place in limited-overs cricket as an aggressive left-arm pacer. Since his first call-up for the national team in 2021, Islam has racked up 63 wickets in 59 T20Is and 58 wickets in a total of 40 ODI appearances.
The 24-year-old has primarily played in the Bangladesh Premier League and Lanka Premier League for the likes of the Bangla Tigers, Dhaka Dominators, Chittagong Kings, and Kandy Falcons so far.
Nahid Rana: INR 75 lakh
Right-arm fast bowler Nahid Rana has played only one T20 match for Bangladesh. However, in his ten test matches, he has picked up 27 wickets.
Rana could bowl at 140 kph regularly, and his speed has been one of the crucial reasons behind his initial success in domestic cricket. However, it remains to be seen whether the 23-year-old will be sold in the 2026 IPL auction.
Tanzin Hasan Sakib: INR 75 lakh
Going into the auction with a base price of INR 75 lakh, Tanzin Hasan Sakib made his debut for Bangladesh’s senior team in 2023. Since then, he has been prolific for the team, especially in bowling.
As a medium-fast bowler, the 23-year-old has picked up 47 wickets in 40 T20 international matches. Sabik’s batting figures have not been as impressive as his numbers with the ball; however, he can score big runs.
Rishad Hossain: INR 75 lakh
Rishad Hossain has experience playing in other Asian T20 cricket leagues; however, he has yet to be part of the Indian Premier League. His top performance came during the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he picked up 14 wickets for Bangladesh.
In a total of 55 T20 internationals, the 23-year-old has scored 213 runs, including one half-century, while excelling with the ball and taking 71 wickets. The leg-spinner has become one of Bangladesh’s top performers with the ball since 2024 in limited-overs cricket.
Mustafizur Rahman: INR 2 crore

The most experienced player on the list is Mustafizur Rahman. This 30-year-old player is the only one on this list who has played in the IPL, representing Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and several other franchises. In the 2025 season, he featured for DC as a replacement for Australia’s Jake Fraser-McGurk.
The Capitals wanted to retain the 30-year-old for the 2026 campaign. However, as per IPL rules, it wasn’t possible. In 60 IPL matches, Mustafizur has taken 65 wickets. Rahman is the only Bangladesh player listed in the highest base price category of INR 2 crore.
