IPL 2026 Auction: All players bought by KKR

KKR bought 13 players in the IPL 2026 auction.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) moved into the buildup to the IPL 2026 mini-auction with urgency and clear purpose, because the memory of an eighth-place finish in 2025 still sat heavily around the camp.

After that setback, the franchise opted for bold changes, and in turn, the league’s biggest purse of INR 64.30 crore drove every conversation ahead of the December auction.

KKR made room by parting ways with familiar faces, as Andre Russell moved into a coaching role while Venkatesh Iyer, Quinton de Kock, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz departed.

Those decisions left obvious gaps, especially at the top of the order, behind the stumps, and at the death with the ball. Even so, there was optimism because Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana, and Sunil Narine provided a solid core.

Additionally, the 13 empty slots and the large amount of money on the table pointed towards aggressive intentions. Kolkata looked to recapture the spark that carried them to the 2024 title.

List of all players KKR have bought in the auction

Kolkata Knight Riders entered the IPL 2026 mini-auction with clear intentions, and as the hours passed in Abu Dhabi, the continuous list of new names showed just how seriously the franchise was taking this rebuild.

Early on, Knight Riders hogged the limelight by signing Cameron Green for INR 25.20 crore, a deal that immediately changed the tone of their day and gave the squad a premium all-round option.

Soon after, they went hard again and secured Matheesha Pathirana for 18 crore, putting faith in raw pace and death-over skill after a tense bidding fight.

Alongside those big calls, KKR brought in Mustafizur Rahman for INR 9.20 crore, adding experience and clever variation to an attack that needed more efficiency late in matches.

At the same time, the franchise mixed heavy spending with sensible depth moves, as they picked up Tejasvi Singh for INR 3 crore and Finn Allen for INR 2 crore to sort out their wicketkeeping cover.

They also signed Tim Seifert for INR 1.50 crore, while Rahul Tripathi returned for INR 75 lakh to offer familiarity at the top. Lower down the list, Kartik Tyagi and Prashant Solanki came in for INR 30 lakh each, rounding out the Indian pace and spin stocks.

KKR secured young domestic talent in Sarthak Ranjan and Daksh Kamra, both acquired at their base price of INR 30 lakh (£28,500). KKR also acquired New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra for INR 2 crore and Indian bowler Akash Deep for INR 1 crore at the IPL 2026 auction.
