IPL 2026: All players bought by LSG in auction

LSG bought 6 players in the IPL 2026 auction.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) entered the IPL 2026 mini-auction with a purse of 22.9 crores. The franchise had six slots to fill, including four overseas positions, giving them significant flexibility at the auction table.

LSG had already retained most of their core players ahead of the auction and were proactive during the trade window, strengthening their squad by acquiring Mohammad Shami from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Arjun Tendulkar from Mumbai Indians in exchange for Shardul Thakur.

These moves helped them address key areas, particularly in the pace-bowling department. Despite this, Super Giants still had a few important gaps to fill, especially in terms of squad depth and overseas balance.

With a decent purse remaining, the management focused on adding players who could provide both experience and versatility, while also keeping an eye on long-term squad building.

On that note, let’s take a closer look at the players LSG picked up in the mini-auction who will be part of their squad for IPL 2026.

List of all players LSG have bought in the auction

Mukul Chaudhary – 2.6 crores

LSG bought Rajasthan wicketkeeper-batter Mukul Chaudhary for 2.6 crores. He is coming off a match-winning innings against Delhi in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He provides LSG with a strong backup option for Rishabh Pant and could prove to be a valuable addition to the squad.

Akshat Raghuwanshi – 2.2 crore

LSG invested in another uncapped batter by getting Akshat Raghuwanshi for 2.2 crores. He has emerged as a promising talent on the domestic circuit and will provide Super Giants with a reliable backup batting option.

Anrich Nortje – 2 cr

Lucknow acquired the services of South African pace bowler Anrich Nortje for 2 crores. Known for his raw pace and effectiveness in the death overs, Nortje is expected to be a valuable asset for the Lucknow-based franchise.

Wanindu Hasaranga – 2 cr

Lucknow Super Giants also bought Sri Lankan star bowler Wanindu Hasaranga at his base price of 2 crores. Hasaranga has previously represented RCB, SRH, and RR in the IPL and will be playing for his fourth franchise in the tournament.

He is expected to be a valuable asset for LSG, especially considering that the Ekana Stadium pitches, similar to last season, tend to favour spin bowling.

Naman Tiwari – 1 cr

Lucknow signed another uncapped player, Naman Tiwari, who earned his first IPL contract worth 1 crore. A bidding war for him involved the Delhi Capitals and the Rajasthan Royals, but LSG managed to secure his services.

Josh Inglis – 8.6 crores

In their final purchase of the day, Lucknow signed Australian wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis for 8.6 crores. Punjab Kings released Inglis despite having a strong season as a middle-order batter last year.

He had informed all IPL franchises about his limited availability during the tournament and the number of matches he would be able to play.

Despite this, Super Giants showed confidence in his abilities and secured his services for a significant amount.
