IPL 2026: All players bought by RCB in auction

RCB bought 8 players in the IPL 2026 auction.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru were brimming with confidence at the IPL 2026 mini-auction, as the impact of their maiden title win in 2025 was still evident in the way they spoke, planned, and made decisions away from the spotlight.
Rather than chasing big changes for the sake of noise, the franchise stuck with what worked, and that decision shaped the mood as auction day rolled around in Abu Dhabi on December 16, 2025.
RCB placed faith in the core that revolved around Virat Kohli, captain Rajat Patidar, and Phil Salt, focusing on addressing minor shortcomings that could help the team navigate the long season, rather than chasing headlines.
With INR 16.40 crore in hand and eight spots to fill, including two overseas slots, the focus stayed on adding cover and options across roles.
Since the exits of Liam Livingstone and Lungi Ngidi opened up obvious holes, RCB looked for a reliable overseas fast bowler and a middle-order player who could adapt to different situations.
At the same time, the management kept an eye on an Indian spinner who could strike at key moments, as the team readied itself to defend the title with clear purpose.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru added four players during the IPL 2026 mini-auction, and every move pointed to a simple aim of strengthening the squad without chasing unnecessary risks.
After retaining a settled group of 17 players, RCB entered into the one-day auction with a clear idea of what they needed, and they moved decisively once the bidding began.
Venkatesh Iyer emerged as the standout signing because his ₹7 crore price brought reliable top-order runs, a handy seam option, and leadership experience that suited a side already centred around Virat Kohli. At the same time, the deal felt smart, since previous auctions had driven his value much higher, and RCB managed to secure him without overspending.

RCB then picked up Jacob Duffy for ₹2 crore, and that choice added depth to the fast-bowling unit behind Josh Hazlewood while giving the squad a dependable overseas backup. Alongside him, Satvik Deswal came in for ₹30 lakh, offering versatility and another Indian option who could step in when needed across a long season.
The ₹5.2 crore signing of Mangesh Yadav strengthened Indian bowling, as his pace and control promised useful variation.
Vicky Ostwal (Bowler), Vihaan Malhotra (All-Rounder), and Kanishk Chouhan (All-Rounder) are promising young talents RCB secured at their base prices or close to them during the IPL 2026 auction.
