The IPL 2026 auction will be held on December 16 in Abu Dhabi.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) revealed on Tuesday the list of 350 shortlisted players who will be put up for sale in Abu Dhabi on December 16, only one week before the IPL 2026 auction.

There are 110 foreign players and 240 Indians on the list. 112 of the 350 are players with international caps. There are 14 uncapped foreign players and 224 uncapped Indian players in the pool. For the player auction, 1390 participants had signed up.

Nine other nations are represented: Afghanistan (10), Australia (19), Bangladesh (7), England (21), Ireland (1), New Zealand (16), South Africa (15), Sri Lanka (12), and the West Indies (9).

During the forthcoming auction, the teams will compete to fill a maximum of 77 open spots, with a squad size cap of 25 players.

Afghanistan’s Wahidullah Zadran, who is just over 18, will be the youngest participant in the auction, while Jalaj Saxena, who is 39, will be the oldest.

The 40 players who will be paid the highest base fee include Indian cricketers Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi, South Africans David Miller and Quinton de Kock, and Australians Cameron Green and Steve Smith.

The IPL auction will be held outside of India for the third year in a row, with Dubai hosting in 2024 and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, handling the 2025 mega auction.
