IPL 2026 auction: List of all players released and retained by Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings will be without Ravindra Jadeja in IPL 2026.
After having a bizarre season last year, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will only have the aim to win the title in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The first step for that has been taken as the five-time champions have announced their list of retained and released players ahead of the auction.
CSK first made the headlines after they traded Sanju Samson from Rajasthan Royals (RR) in return for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. And now with their list of retained and released players, they have kept fans engaged about their choices.
CSK have retained their core group, barring Matheesha Pathirana, along with some youngsters but they will have to do a lot of hard work in IPL 2026 auction to build a strong team for the next cycle.
Chennai Super Kings finished at the last spot in IPL 2025

CSK had a season to forget last year as for the first time in the history of the tournament, they finished at the last spot in the points table. After Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out mid-season, MS Dhoni was handed the responsibility to lead the team.
However, the move didn’t work as they managed to win just four games and lost ten. This time around, they would be keen to turn things around and add a sixth title to their cabinet, giving a perfect send-off to MS Dhoni, who is speculated to retire after IPL 2026.
