IPL 2026: What is the remaining purse of all 10 teams ahead of mini auction

IPL 2026 auction will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16.
The highly anticipated retention and release list was announced by all ten franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday, 15th November ahead of the mini auction, which will take place on December 16. There are several stars who will enter the auction in search of a new team, and some of them have even captained an IPL team.
The five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have released the most numbers of players. On the other hand, the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI), and the last season’s runners-ups, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have maintained the core of the team and released the least number of players.
The auction is scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16. The biggest surprise ahead of the retention deadline was the trade between CSK and RR. Sanju Samson was traded to CSK in return of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, making it probably one of the biggest IPL trades of all time.
