Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained 15 players in their squad ahead of IPL 2026 auction.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have revealed their names of released and retained players on November 15 (Saturday) ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction. The franchise has retained 15 players in their squad for the next season and released six players.

Captain Pat Cummins has been retained by SRH and will captain the side in the next season too. Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Ishan Kishan were a few key batters, while Harshal Patel and Jaydev Unadkat were among the prominent bowlers retained by them. Ahead of IPL 2026 auction, SRH traded senior Indian pacer Mohammed Shami to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Sunrisers Hyderabad did not qualify for the playoffs in IPL 2025

SRH were among the most dominating teams in IPL 2024, who finished as runners-up after losing the final to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, the Pat Cummins & Co. failed to make it to the playoffs in IPL 2025, finishing at the sixth spot in the league stage. Out of 14 games, they won six and lost seven, while one encounter ended with no result.

SRH won their first IPL title in the 2016 edition and have been consistent performers since their debut in 2013. Under Cummins’ captaincy since 2024, they have dominated opposition teams with their deadly batting attack, led by openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. In IPL 2026, SRH will leave no stones unturned to add second trophy to their cabinet.
