IPL 2025: [Watch] Abhishek Sharma and Digvesh Rathi engage in heated altercation during LSG vs SRH clash

Divgesh Rathi dismissed Abhishek Sharma for 59 runs in LSG vs SRH, match 61 of IPL 2025.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are clashing in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Monday, May 19. The 61st match of IPL 2025 is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. During the match, LSG spinner Digvesh Rathi and SRH batter Abhishek Sharma engaged in a heated altercation.
SRH are chasing a mammoth target of 206 runs in the match. SRH opener Abhishek Sharma attacked LSG bowlers all over the park and slammed a half-century off just 18 deliveries. However, spinner Digvesh Rathi dismissed him for 59 runs in the eighth over.
After dismissing Sharma, Rathi performed his infamous notebook celebration. Sharma got angry over Rathi’s send-off. As Sharma left the field, the duo engaged in a verbal altercation. LSG skipper Rishabh Pant and the umpires calmed down both players.

Interestingly, Rathi has already been fined by the IPL disciplinary committee over his notebook celebration. He has been fined twice for his send-off gesture. He was fined 25 per cent of his match fee and given one demerit point on the first occasion. Next time, he was fined 50 per cent of his match fee and handed a second demerit point.
Earlier in the game, SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. LSG posted a powerful total of 205/7 in the first innings. Openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram scored brilliant half-centuries for the team. Nicholas Pooran also added 45 runs. However, SRH have got a wonderful start in the match and look powerful to chase down the target.
