Virat Kohli's immense fan following contributes to RCB's popularity

Under the leadership of Faf du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has witnessed a notable rise in popularity. A significant contributing factor to their success can be attributed to the presence of Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain who needs no introduction. Kohli, who has recently been one of the most accomplished Indian cricketers, has garnered an immense fan following both on and off the field. His influence has played a crucial role in the emergence of RCB as a formidable team. Following their defeat in the final league match against GT, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured the 6th position on the points table for this year's IPL season.

MS Dhoni leads the popularity race in IPL 2023

On the other hand, MS Dhoni, a legendary figure in cricket, requires no introduction either. This IPL season, the former Indian captain has been leading the popularity race by a wide margin. Dhoni has received abundant love and support from the crowd, irrespective of the venue. Whether it be his home stadium, Chepauk, or away games at M Chinnaswamy, Wankhede, Eden Gardens, or Narendra Modi Stadium, Dhoni continues to be adored by fans wherever he plays. With a resounding victory of 15 runs in qualifier 1 of IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have advanced to the finals.
