IPL 2025: Virat Kohli crosses 3500 T20 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

Virat Kohli slammed his fifth half-century in IPL 2025 during RCB vs RR game.
Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli clinched another incredible record in his T20 career on Thursday, April 24. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) locked horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the match No. 42 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. During the clash, Kohli slammed his fifth half-century of the season.
The right-handed batsman slammed 70 runs off 42 balls to send spectators at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on frenzy. With his knock, he also crossed 3500 T20 runs at the RCB’s home venue in Bengaluru. Kohli hammered eight fours and two sixes during his knock at a stunning strike rate of 166.67.

The former RCB skipper Kohli now has 3556 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru across 105 innings in T20 cricket. This includes IPL games for RCB and T20I games for Indian Cricket Team. He has slammed a total of 26 fifties and four tons at the stadium so far, out of which, 113 runs was the top knock.
If we include only his IPL games at the venue, he accounts for 3140 runs in 90 innings with four centuries and 23 half-centuries. Notably, Kohli is also the only batter to score more than 2000 runs at the venue in the IPL. The second player on the list, AB de Villiers, has 1991 runs in his kitty.
Talking about the RCB vs RR match of IPL 2025, Kohli helped the home side pile a big total of 205/5 on the scoreboard with his fifty. Other than Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal also slammed a quickfire half-century in the match.
Tim David and Jitesh Sharma added 23 and 20* runs respectively to capture crucial runs on the scoreboard towards the end. For RR, Sandeep Sharma picked the most two wickets; followed by Jofra Archer and Wanindu Hasaranga with one scalp each.
