Ireland Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Ireland will kick-off their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against India on 5th June, 2024.

The ICC have unveiled the schedule for the Men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024, placing Ireland in Group A alongside cricket powerhouses India and Pakistan, along with the host nation USA and Canada. This edition of the T20 World Cup features a new format, accommodating 20 teams for the first time, divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will move on to the Super Eight stage, followed by a split into two groups of four. The tournament will culminate with the semi-finals and the ultimate showdown scheduled for June 29th.

Ireland, a regular participant since their T20 World Cup debut in 2009, earned their place through a solid performance in the European qualifiers, finishing second with four wins in six games. Despite their reputation for causing upsets, the European side are yet to progress beyond the group stage and reach the Super 8 in the tournament.

Ireland will play their last group match against Pakistan on 16th June

Commencing their campaign in New York on June 5th against India, Ireland’s T20 World Cup group stage journey will unfold across the USA. Following their opening match, they are set to face Canada in New York, take on the USA in Florida, and clash with Pakistan in Florida for their remaining group-stage fixtures.

All of Ireland’s matches are slated to be played in the USA. Securing a spot in the top two of the Group A points table is crucial for Ireland to advance to the Super 8 round. If successful, they will continue their quest in the pursuit of T20 World Cup glory.
