Ireland vs India, 2023, 1st T20I, Dublin - Weather Forecast, Rain likely to play spoilsport

Rinku Singh might make his international debut for India in the first T20I against Ireland.
Team India are set to begin their three-match T20I series against Ireland on Friday at Malahide, on the outskirts of Dublin. This series will also mark the return of star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah after missing one year of cricket due to an injury. Bumrah will also be leading the young side looking to prepare themselves for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and USA. Bumrah’s comeback in the field doesn’t look easy, and he might have to wait until Sunday to resume his international career. There is a prediction of rain around Malahide during the afternoon and evening.
Rain around Malahide!
The weather report from Malahide doesn’t look encouraging, as there is 100% precipitation building up during the game. The scheduled start of the first T20I is 3 PM local time (7:30 PM IST), and around that time there is a 56% chance of rain. Soon after an hour, it is predicted that the conditions will change further and the chances of rain will increase to 96%. This suggests that the conditions will remain wet in Malahide in the afternoon and evening, and rain may play a spoilsport in Jasprit Bumrah’s comeback game.

Conditions favour pacers
As the weather is likely to remain overcast and cloudy with a lot of rain around, the pacers are going to take full advantage of the conditions during the game. The temperature is likely to remain around 17°C–18°C in Dublin, suggesting a little tougher conditions for the batters. India have a 100% record on the ground, as they have played four games at The Village Ground and won all of them. Last year, Malahide hosted a two-match T20I series between the same two teams , where India decimated the hosts by 2-0.
India are coming off a 2-3 defeat against West Indies in the recently concluded five-match T20I series. With a change in captain and team management, there will be a change in methods and strategies as well. Youngsters like Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Ruturaj Gaikwad have the opportunity to showcase their talent in international cricket as well. Rinku might make his international debut on Friday under Jasprit Bumrah.
