Ireland will look to bounce back in the series in 2nd T20I game at The Village Ground, Malahide.

India’s opening encounter against Ireland was hit by severe rain when India walked into bat to chase Ireland’s target of 140 runs. India’s chase couldn’t go further than the powerplay, and the result was announced by applying the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method. India defeated Ireland by just 2 runs in the DLS method to go 1-0 up in the three-match T20I series. On Sunday, both teams are ready to take on each other once again on the same ground, but not in similar conditions. The 2nd T20I between India and Ireland is expected to get a full 40-over clash with pleasant weather around Dublin.

According to Weather.com, it will be a more sunny afternoon in Malahide, and there is no chances of rain around the Irish coast of Dublin. The humidity will stay around 67 to 70% throughout the day. The precipitation index shows 0%, which suggests it will be a dry evening with no interruption during the game. The game will begin at 3 p.m. local time. The temperature is likely to remain around 19°C to 21°C in the afternoon and evening. There will be 19 km/h of gusty wind to help the pacers from both teams.

Pitch and Conditions

Batting-favorable pitch, yet batters struggled in the first T20I against pace bowlers. Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, and Craig Young made batters struggle with their pace and movement. With the sun around, conditions might change a bit in favor of the batters. If the weather remains as expected, both teams will be looking to put runs on the board. If cloud cover comes around The Village grounds, then the fans need to be ready for another close, low-scoring game. In the first game, bowlers were dominating the game most of the time.

Ireland did make a comeback when India were chasing a low total of 140 runs. Craig Young, with his two back-to-back wickets in the 7th over, brought the hosts back into the game. He got Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma out in his first over. With the help of Barry Mccarthy (51) and Curtis Campher (39), Ireland posted 139 runs on the board. They took charge of the innings when the hosts were under pressure on 59 for 6 and added 67 runs for the 7th wicket. Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah and bowler Prasidh Krishna, along with young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, did well for India.
