Irfan Pathan took a dig aon Pakistan after India won Asia Cup 2023 title.

India secured their record-extending 8th Asia Cup title (7th ODI title) with a dominant performance against Sri Lanka in the final. Fans had anticipated an exciting showdown between two of the competition's top teams, but India turned it into a completely one-sided affair. The standout player with the ball was Mohammed Siraj, who achieved impressive figures of 6/21.

Irfan Pathan, who holds the distinction of being India's second-highest wicket-taker in Asia Cup history, openly celebrated this remarkable victory. He went a step further by sharing a light-hearted message that playfully teased Pakistan.

'Padosi abhi bhi Awaz Karne ki Koshish Kar rahe hai,' says Irfan Pathan

"Padosi abhi bhi Awaz Karne ki Koshish Kar rahe hai, Lekin Colombo Tak unki Awaaz pahoch nahi rahi hai," Pathan posted on his X account.

India seized control of the game right from the start, despite a 40-minutes rain delay. The spotlight was firmly on Mohammed Siraj, who put on a sensational performance by claiming six wickets for a mere 21 runs in the first innings. This achievement marked the fourth-best figures ever recorded by an Indian bowler in ODIs, including the impressive feat of taking four wickets in just his second over. Sri Lanka, in response, struggled and were dismissed for just 50 runs, their lowest score against India.

The opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill wasted no time in chasing down the target, reaching 51 runs in just 6.1 overs without losing a wicket. This impressive display secured India's victory and the Asia Cup 2023 title.
