LSG captain Rishabh Pant was seen limping and his participation in the match against RCB seems doubtful.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have faced a massive injury scare ahead of their game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match is set to take place at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday, 27th May.

LSG skipper Rishabh Pant seemed to have hurt his leg and might be in doubt for the clash against RCB. In a viral video on the internet, the keeper-batter can be seen struggling to walk and has a strapping on his left knee.

In the clip, Rishabh Pant can be seen walking towards the young fans to give them autographs. The wicketkeeper-batsman was seen limping, but he made sure he made the day for the little fans. The LSG skipper was seen signing the balls and clicking pictures.

Here’s the video:

If Rishabh Pant does not play in the match against RCB, it will be a big blow for the LSG. This is because they will be without the services of Aiden Markram for their last league game. The right-hander went back home to join the South African team for the ICC World Test Championship final in 2025.

If declared fit, Rishabh Pant is expected to open the innings for the LSG against RCB. The keeper-batter earlier opened for his team when Mitchell Marsh missed one of the games for the franchise. But it has been a disappointing season for him this year.

Rishabh Pant, who was brought by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 27 crore in the auction, failed to live up to the expectations. The keeper-batter had his worst season in the league, and his poor form was one of the major reasons behind his side’s struggle in the league.

Rishabh Pant, so far, has slammed only 151 runs in 13 matches at an average of 13.73 and a strike rate of just 107.9. His best score came in the game against Chennai Super Kings, when he slammed 62 runs, but that too came at a low strike rate.

If he plays the last game, he would want to end the season on a high and play a big innings. The LSG team management would be hoping that the keeper-batter is fit to play, as he will hold the key for his side in the clash.

Also, Pant will be an essential member of the Indian Cricket Team in the upcoming England series. The keeper-batter was appointed as the vice-captain of the side in the longest format of the game. The Test series between teams begins on 20th June at Headingley in Leeds.
