Is Virat Kohli's mother sick? Virat's brother gives massive update
Virat Kohli pulled out of the first two tests against England citing personal reasons.
Star Indian batter Virat Kohli missed the first test match for India against England in the ongoing five-match series and will miss the second test too. Before start of the series, Kohli cited personal reasons and pulled out of the first two tests in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. The hosts lost the first test where England had a terrific start to their campaign in Hyderabad and won the match by 28 runs. The second test will be played in Visakhapatnam.
A few media reports suggested that Virat Kohli missed the first two test matches due to his mother’s illness. There were a lot of rumours surrounding his daughter Vamika and Anushka Sharma as well. A few media agencies even reported Virat will miss the remainder of the test series to be with his ailing mother. Meanwhile, Virat’s brother Vikas Kohli has come forward and refuted the reports of their mother’s illness. Vikas informed through social media that their mother is fit and doing fine and asked media to not circulate any false news without information.

Initially, a few media reports came out suggesting Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child. Earlier in the month, Virat Kohli missed the first T20I game against Afghanistan in Mohali and played the final two games. He was part of India test squad for test tour of South Africa earlier.
Along with Virat Kohli, India will be missing the services of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and middle-order batter KL Rahul who also have been ruled out of the second test in Visakhapatnam due to respective injuries. The second test will begin on 2nd February. The BCCI included Rajat Patidar as Virat’s replacement during the first test while Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar have been added as replacements for Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul.
