Ishan Kishan scored a half-century in IND vs NAM clash of T20 World Cup 2026.
In the 18th match of T20 World Cup 2026 on Thursday, February 12, Indian Cricket Team and Namibia Cricket Team are clashing at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Both the sides, who are part of Group A, are playing their second match of the tournament.
Namibia won the toss and opted to field first in the clash. For India, Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan opened the batting as Abhishek Sharma was ruled out of the match due to his stomach issues.
Samson started well with three sixes and one boundary but got out for 22 runs in the second over itself, failing to make a mark with the bat once again. However, Kishan rocked the field with his stunning half-century.
The left-handed batsman hammered the Namibia bowlers all over the park, raining sixes and boundaries. He drove the scoreboard to 86 runs in the power play, providing an incredible start to the team’s batting. With five sixes and six boundaries, he scored 61 runs off 24 balls.

After his heroics against Namibia, Kishan has grabbed a stunning record in Indian Cricket’s history. He has become the first wicket-keeper batter to smack a fifty for India in a T20 World Cup.
The left-handed batter failed to go big in the previous game, losing his wicket for 20 runs. However, he made a marvellous comeback in the clash against Namibia.

Meanwhile, India made two changes to their playing XI in the clash against Namibia. Samson was added to the side in Abhishek’s absence, while Jasprit Bumrah replaced Mohammed Siraj.
