Discarded Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma has named 3 fast bowlers who can carry forward the team.

Along with the dip in batting Test average, Team India is dealing with a new problem. With Jasprit Bumrah injured, Umesh Yadav dropped, and Mohammed Shami rested more often India’s pace attack looks in trouble. Team India have given Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini, Shardul Thakur, and Mohammed Siraj an opportunity to lead India’s pace battery in the West Indies tour. With Former Indian pacer Ishant Sharma out of contention and Jasprit Bumrah still recovering from his back injury, India need to build a decent backup for the next World Test Championship cycle. Former Indian pacer Ishant Sharma has given his opinion on building a new backup line in a podcast. Ishan Sharma named a few pacers who will make a big name according to him if provided an opportunity in Test Cricket. Ishant said, “If you work properly with Umran Malik he has the potential to do well in for the country for a long period, and the other would be Arshdeep Singh”. Talking about India’s new entry in the pace department, Mukesh Kumar, Ishant said, “Not many people know Mukesh’s story, but I have not seen a man as simple as him. If you ask him to bowl a particular delivery, he will bowl only that”. 

Mukesh Kumar had a poor IPL 2023 season with Delhi Capitals, but his Ranji Trophy performance has been magnificent in winning him a place in the Indian squad. Talking about Mukesh, Ishant further added, “He went for runs in IPL as he bowled the tough overs. No one sees the situation in which he bowled, or which batter he bowled to. Everyone sees that he conceded 50 runs in 4 overs. When Russell is playing and they have lost 8 wickets, what do they have to lose? if you fail to execute a yorker you will get hit for a six. No one notice this thing, If he’s guided properly he can become a very good fast bowler”.
