Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah played a crucial 16 runs knock against Pakistan on his ODI return.

In an unexpected event from the Asia Cup 2023, There’s big news from the Indian camp. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has left for Mumbai from Colombo. The reasons are unclear but according to a few reports, Bumrah is coming back to India for just one or two days due to some personal reasons. Right-arm pacer is set to miss India’s final league game against Nepal at Pallekele Stadium in Kandy on 4th September. Bumrah marked his ODI comeback against Pakistan on Saturday.

Bumrah will join back in Super 4 round

Jasprit Bumrah will join the Indian squad from the Super 4 round as he is fully fit and there are no injury concerns with him. Jasprit Bumrah has just made his comeback in the game after almost a year break due to a back injury he sustained last year. Jasprit Bumrah was leading the Indian side in a 3-match T20I series against Ireland. Jasprit Burmah was clicked by an Australian celebrity Gurnam Singh while travelling from Colombo to Mumbai.

Mohammed Shami is likely to make his comeback as Bumrah will not be playing against Nepal. Shami was unfit in India's opening clash against Pakistan. Indian bowlers didn’t get any chance to have a go at Pakistan as intense rain after the first innings washed out Pakistan's chase. Jasprit Bumrah did had an opportunity with the bat in hand and scored 16 runs in 14 balls smashing 3 fours in the innings, He helped India reach above 250 as the Pakistan bowlers were not in a mood to give them any respite. 

India’s Super 4 campaign is likely to begin on 10th September against their arch-rivals Pakistan. Bumrah will return before that game as there’s a big gap between India’s next two clashes. Jasprit Bumram needs some game time before entering into the big World Cup in October. Apart from the Asia Cup, he will only have a 3-match ODI series against Australia later this month and two Warm-up games in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.
